You should begin the EGR valve service by disconnecting the negative
Battery Cable which is located at the rear of the right cylinder head. Remove the air inlet tube, resonator and bracket and then take out the electrical connector from the solenoid. Next, take out the screws holding the EGR upper tube to the EGR valve and after that, remove any shielding mounting screws for the EGR valve. Take out the screws from the EGR lower tube at the
Exhaust Manifold and remove the valve along with the tube as one piece. Clean the surfaces of the gasket and remove the old part, while cleaning out the EGR passages if they become dirty. Quite carefully, install the new gasket, then place the EGR valve and lower tube close to each other. Place the EGR valve at the rear of the cylinder head and do not tighten the screws for now. Add the loosen screws of the lower
EGR Tube to the exhaust manifold, placing a new gasket between the tube and the manifold. Insert a new gasket between the EGR valve and upper tube, secure them in place with the bolts. Make sure you tighten the screws attaching the EGR lower tube to the exhaust manifold to 31 Nm (275 in. lbs.), the bolts for the EGR tube to the EGR valve to 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) and the screws holding the EGR valve to the cylinder head to 31 Nm (275 in. lbs.) torque. With the solenoid removed, run the new electrical connector, fit the resonator support bracket, the inlet tube and resonator, then link the negative battery cable.
