How to Service and Repair a Gas Cap on Dodge Intrepid?

To fix or repair the gas cap, unhook the negative terminal of the battery and empty the car's fuel reservoir. Fasten the gas neck to the quarter panel using the 3 screws and get the vehicle in the air on a hoist. Undo the clamps at the gas neck and take the gas neck out. Affix the gas neck to the gas hose and make sure you tighten the clamps. Hold the vehicle as low as it can go and add the 3 screws to attach the gas neck to the quarter panel. Top off the tank and check for leaks, then link the negative cable from the battery.
