    Start by putting a new rubber grommet seal/filter screen into the washer pump mounting hole in the Washer Reservoir, as well as making certain to not use a previously used one. Set the inlet nipple on the base of the pump housing of the washer pump/motor unit inside the rubber grommet seal/filter screen in the reservoir. Press the top of the washer pump/motor unit handily against the washer pump/motor unit until the inlet nipple seats tightly in the rubber grommet seal/filter screen within the mounting hole of the reservoir. Place the top of the washer pump/motor unit housing into the washer reservoir so it fits into the receptacle. Then, use hand pressure to fully insert the unit and snap it into place. Attach the washer reservoir to the cooling module, add the fresh washer fluid you saved during removal and plug back in the battery negative cable.

    Remove the negative cable from the battery to disconnect and isolate the front and rear windshield washers and protect the electrical system. Take out the washer fluid from the tank and keep it in a clean, reusable bottle. Change the Washer Reservoir by getting rid of it from the cooling module. Gently pull up on the top of the washer pump/motor housing to send the motor part off the reservoir pin. Use your hand to pull the washer pump upward, so that the pump inlet nipple separates from the filter inside the reservoir. Unscrew the washer pump/motor unit from the washer reservoir, then throw away the rubber seal/filter screen inside the pump hole in the reservoir.
