  Before working on the motor, set the rubber bezel and grommet (4) into the clearance hole of the outer panel and make certain that the arrow (5) is facing up. Liftgate inner panel (2).   First, lower the front wiper motor onto the center bracket of the wiper linkage module, secure it with three screws and tighten them to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.). Touch the headlamp and dash wire connector to the wiper motor pigtail wire connector, run the wire harness under the wiper linkage module and finally attach the battery negative cable. Energize the ignition switch while paying attention that nothing is in the path of the wiper motor crank arm so that the wiper unit turns automatically to confirm it is in Park. Go to the ON position on the front wiper system switch control and turn the switch back to OFF a short time later. After that, place the sleeve bushing from the left wiper drive link over the ball stud at the end of the motor crank arm, using a 19 mm or 3/4 inch socket with large channel-lock pliers to snap it onto the ball stud. Make sure the sleeve bushing placed in the engine is centered over the lower ball and not caught by the lower ball or the crank arm, allowing you to turn it freely while the engine operates. Go through this fitment again for the socket bushing attached to the wiper drive link shaft on the passenger side. The last part is to put back the inner and outer cowl plenum cover/grille panels, as well as the front Wiper Arms onto the pivots.
