- Q: How to Remove a Front Door Window Regulator on Dodge Magnum?A:Loosen any inside trim, then the speaker, then the watershield, to get to the front door window regulator. The next step is to take out the screw holding the bottom of the pull cup bracket and the bottom of the window regulator rear rail to the door. Set the screw that connects the top of the bracket to loose, break the connection between the upper pull cup bracket screw and the keyed hole and remove the entire bracket. Set the front door shut using the regulator, then access the two regulator glass clamps on the window. Loosen the screws a bit to release the glass. Take the glass away from the clamps and fasten it in the highest location with tape. Take out the two screws that hold the front regulator rail and the regulator motor bracket to the door. Free the regulator rails by releasing the screws on top of each rail and lifting the front regulator rail to take out the screw from the keyed hole. Drop the front regulator rail enough so you can enter the speaker hole and gently pull out the door wire harness connector from the door regulator motor. Lifting up the rear regulator rail will separate the screw from the keyed hole and you should finally remove the regulator through the big door access hole found near the rear.
- Q: How to Service and Repair a Window Regulator for the Front Door on Dodge Magnum?A:This repair process starts by taking out the trim panel, speaker and watershield from inside the front door. Following this, take out the screw holding the bracket and the regulator lower rail and unscrew the top bracket screw. Slide the upper cup out the keyed hole and lift off the bracket. Thanks to the regulator, you can adjust the front door window and loosen the screws in the glass clamps for each window to release the glass from them. Bring the glass all the way upright and make sure it's taped firmly in place. Unscrew the two screws under the front regulator rail and release the two top screws on either regulator rail. Lift the front regulator rail to let go of the screw caught in the keyed hole, then lower it to expose the door wire harness connector and release it from the regulator motor at the hole behind the speaker. Open the large access hole and take out the regulator. Install the regulator by feeding it up through the big front hole in the door, then put the top screw of the back regulator rail through the keyed hole and connect the front of it to the door's wire harness. Screw in the top screw of the front regulator rail, then screw in and tighten the two screws at the bottom that secure the front rail and the regulator motor support bracket to 10 N.m (90 in.lbs.). Apply the same tightening torque to each screw that holds down each regulator rail's top half into its keyed hole. Pull off the tape on the door glass, move the glass toward the lower regulator, push it into the two window clamps and tighten each of the two screws to 10 N.m (90 in.lbs.). Attach the upper screw to the pull cup bracket by hand, line it up in the keyed hole and tighten the screw underneath the bracket and the regulator rail to 11 N.m (100 in.lbs.). Afterward, tighten the knob that holds the top of the pull cup bracket to 10 N.m (90 in.lbs.), then set the watershield, speaker and trim panel in their places again.
