To service the rear door exterior handle, remove the trim panel and watershield from the inside of the rear door. After that, remove the door glass channel and bracket, and then the latch. After that, you should unscrew the three screws of the handle that is on the exterior of the door. After that, you can remove the handle from the outside. For installation, position the new outside handle over the mounting holes and secure it with the three screws, tightening to 5 N.m (44 in.lbs). Reinstall the latch and door glass channel and bracket, followed by the watershield, then the trim panel back onto the inside of the rear door.

How to Install a Front Exterior Door Handle on Dodge Magnum?

To install the front door exterior handle, position the exterior handle to the mounting holes on the outside of the door. From the inside, install and tighten the three screws that secure the exterior handle to the door, ensuring they are tightened to 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.). For the driver side handle, reach up into the back of the door shell to engage the lock actuator link to the lock cylinder and snap the plastic clip over the link to secure it. Then, engage the latch release link to the exterior door handle and snap the plastic clip over the link to secure it. With the upper screw hand-started into the pull cup bracket, position it into the keyed hole on the inside of the front door. Install and tighten the screw that secures the bottom of the pull cup bracket and the bottom of the window regulator rear rail to the inside of the front door to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.), and tighten the screw that secures the top of the pull cup bracket to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). Reinstall the watershield onto the inside of the front door, the speaker onto the inside of the front door, and finally, the trim panel onto the inside of the front door.
