Since the fuel system pressure stays on with the engine off, it's important to first let go of that pressure before removing the fuel rail on a 3.7L engine. If replacing the fuel rails, ensure you install them as an assembly-it's important not to split them where the tube is because there are no clamps; attempt to avoid bending or kinking the tube when removing it. First, get rid of the fuel tank filler tube cap and afterwards, break the negative
Battery Cable's connection. Then, pull the
Air Duct and air box from the
Throttle Body and then separate the fuel line clip and fuel line at the fuel rail using a proper tool. Take away any vacuum or vapor links needed at the throttle body and then push the slider, depress the tab and pull the electrical connectors out of the six
Fuel Injectors. Unplug the electricity at the sensors by the throttle body and then take out the six
Ignition Coils. After finishing that, loosen and remove all four fuel rail mounting bolts. Slowly and carefully rock the fuel rail to the left and pull it a bit until the holes in the head are unclogged by the injectors. Then do the same for the right side. The last thing to do is remove the fuel rail with the injectors attached from the engine. If the removal of fuel injectors is needed, do it using the suitable procedure.
