Be sure to lubricate the grommet at the firewall with soapy water to help ease the installation of the hood cable. Insert the latch hood cable (1) through the body from inside and draw it towards the engine until the grommet fits in place. Route the latch hood cable in the same position it held before removal. After that, fix the latch hood cable to the retaining tabs on the grill, send it under the push pin (2) on the grille and install the push pin (2) to keep the grill in place. Join the latch hood cable with the latch (3 and 4), then secure the bolts to the hood latch handle (5) and tighten each bolt to 4 Nm (33 in. lbs.). You should reinstall the cowl trim cover to finish.
