Make sure to put the seat in the right place to release the tension, before unfastening the clips at the back of the seat. First, take the 60/40 rear seat out of the vehicle and lay it directly on a clean workbench. After that, undo the seat bolt from the floor bracket, detach the cable and remove the front bracket using the cushion bolts to split the forward legs and cushion. Next, separate the bottom of the seat and locate the cable, before pulling the cable hood clear of the electrical connection. Untie the
Seat Cushion assembly from the pivot bolt below and then take out the seat cover plastic clips that keep the cover in place on the frame. Afterward, remove the cover and cushion ensemble, turn the seat cover back over to locate the hog rings, cut and take out the hog rings and then lift the seat cover from the cushion. The first step for the 60 seat cushion is to get rid of the 40 seat cushion, followed by pulling out the pivot bolt on the floor bracket and the seat bolt from the left of the 60 seat. Pull the seat included in the seat back frame to remove it, open the clips that hold down the seat cushion cover and take off the cable sheath near the recliner. Remove the front bracket securing the cushion bolts, then split the forward legs from the cushion by taking out the seat cushion assembly from the floor brackets and finish by separating the seat cover plastic retaining clips off the frame. Remove the J-straps from the back of the seat, then uncover the seat and lift it off the seat frame. Flip the cover back to discover the hog rings, cut them all out and finally lift the cover off the cushion.
