First, lift and support the car, next take off the license plate and then eliminate the bolts located behind it. If you are using wiring, separate the license plate light wires and the trailer light connector wiring. After that, unscrew the bolts found on the front upper edge of the bumper at the tips and hold the bumper upright with an appropriate lift device. Unscrew the bolts holding the bumper support brackets (4) on the trailer hitch (1). When putting in the bumper, make sure the holes are lined up with the trailer hitch pins and attach the bumper. Relax the hitch bolts (2) in the support bracket (4), add the front upper edge to the bolts (2) and tighten them so the torque is 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs.). Fix the license plate reinforcement onto the hitch bolts (2) and tighten them to 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs.). Tighten both left and right bumper bracket bolts (3) to 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs.). When the trailer has a wiring connector, start with that, then connect the license plate lights, before lastly reattaching the license plate.
