Prior to servicing or repairing the hydraulic hose linkage, raise and support the vehicle, then remove the heat shield over the hydraulic line. After that, remove the nuts from the slave cylinder on the clutch housing and pull out the slave cylinder. Pop out the plastic clip attaching the hydraulic line to each part of the dash panel. Reduce the height of the vehicle and take out the connector of the clutch pedal interlock switch. Unscrew the rod pin from the
Clutch Master Cylinder and close the reservoir's cap well to avoid spilling anything. Pull the numbers on the dash panel that keep the clutch master cylinder in place and disconnect the clutch cylinders, reservoir and tubes from the vehicle. When installing, fit the cylinders and hose in the engine compartment so that the clutch hydraulic line is against the dash and behind all the engine's hoses and cables. Moisten the inside diameter of the master cylinder push rod eye with grease, put the clutch master cylinder in place on the dash and secure it with nuts tightened to 28 Nm. Place the clutch master cylinder push rod pin and join the clutch pedal position interlock switch connector. Use the plastic clips on both the lower mount and upper stud to attach the hydraulic line to the dash panel. Lift the vehicle up once more, put the slave cylinder in place, see that the cylinder rod is properly fitted onto the release lever and tighten the slave cylinder nuts to 23 Nm. During installation, connect the clutch hydraulic line with the clutch slave cylinder, as once connected, you should not break the connection. After that, replace the heat shield over the hydraulic line and work the linkage to check that it is functioning correctly.
