Dodge Ram 1500 Van Coolant Reservoir Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the coolant reservoir on Dodge Ram 1500 Van?
    A:
The first thing to do is to take the recovery bottle from the vehicle by first disconnecting the coolant overflow hose from the radiator and then removing the two screws. To set up the coolant recovery bottle, slip its tab into the radiator plate's slot and tighten the two bolts to 6 Nm (50 in. lbs.). After that, reattach the hose from the coolant recovery bottle to the radiator and top up the bottle to its highest point. Start the engine and then check and top up the coolant levels in the reservoir tank, if you find they are low.
