Dodge Ram 1500 Van Fuel Pump Relay Parts and Q&A

  • Q: Where is the fuel pump relay located and how do you remove and reinstall it on Dodge Ram 1500 Van?
    A:
The Fuse and Relay Block on the instrument panel (at the left side) contains the fuel pump relay which is marked on its inner cover. Before removing the relay, open up the panel at the left end of the instrument cluster and get rid of the fuse and relay block. Look at the relay terminals and also at the terminals on the Fuse and Relay Block for any signs of dry rot or spotting and replace them if there is any damage before installing the relay again. In addition, ensure that every terminal in the Fuse and Relay Block connector has the same pin height; carry out repairs if one pin doesn't meet the standard. Firmly place the relay into the Fuse and Relay Block next and then attach the cover back to the instrument panel.
