You only have to remove one hood hinge at a time, so you don't need to remove the entire hood. Start by fitting the hood hinge on the
Fender rail and sliding it all the way rearward into place. Attach the hood hinge to the fender rail with bolts and tighten them to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Then, put in the bolt that connects the front fender to the hood, secure it to 12.5 Nm (9 ft. lbs.) and tighten it. First, fit the two nuts loosely into the hood hinge holes, then place the hood back into position using the marks made during the removal and tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Mount the support cylinder and if needed, get the hood to its right position. Install both the wheelhouse splash shield and the cowl grille.
