On the side of the fuel pump module, located within the fuel tank, is a fuel level sensor and float assembly known as the fuel level sensor. Before removing the unit, you should take out the fuel tank and then the fuel pump module. After unplugging the 4-way electrical connector, release both sensor wires from the connector, making sure the locking collar is out of the way. The sensor is held close to the pump block by a simple lock and a notch; while removing the unit, gently push the lock aside and slide the unit out while keeping track of the wiring. To install, place the sensor into the track, check that all the wires are routed properly and keep pressing until the tab locks into place. Connect the two wires from the sensor into the 4-way connector and after that, fit the locking collar in place. Finally, link the 4-way connector to the computer module. Lastly, put in the fuel pump module and the fuel tank again.
