Begin by pulling the accelerator pedal inside to remove the plastic cable retainer and throttle core wire wire from above the pedal link. After that, disconnect the cable core wire from the pedal arm. Hold the Left & Right sides of the cable housing retainer firmly on the dash panel. Pull the cable housing into the engine compartment. When the engine cover and air cleaner housing are off, reach in, move the throttle body lever to the fully open position by hand and move the cable end backward from the pin on the lever. Gently press up on the release tab of the cable housing at the throttle body with a small screwdriver and then lift the whole cable housing straight out of the throttle body mounting bracket. After taking away the old cable, for installation, connect the cable end to the lever pin and then route the cable below the plastic cam on models that have one. Lock the cable connector to the throttle body mounting bracket by pushing it down and then snap the other (housing) end into the opening in the dash panel. Thread the end of the cable wire with the ball through the hole in the arm and use the plastic cable retainer to make sure the retainer's index fits with the pedal arm's index tab. Operate and check the throttle just before you start the engine and when done, place the air cleaner housing and engine housing back.
