To remove the mini floor console, first take off the 4WD gear shift boot if equipped, then remove the transmission gear shift lever extension if a manual transmission is present. Next, take out the console inserts if applicable, and remove the two bolts securing the rear console to the floor panel. Lift the rear of the floor console to clear the gear shift lever, then remove the two bolts and separate the front console from the floor. Finally, separate the front clips and remove the mini console. For the full floor console, begin by reviewing all warnings and cautions related to service precautions. Use a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent to separate the seven front console bezel clips, lift the back of the bezel, and remove it. Remove the bolt and lift the rear of the base to release the front guide pins, then take out the front base. Always replace seat fasteners with new ones and discard the front bolts. Position the seats forward, remove and discard the rear bolts, disconnect the 12 v power supply electrical connector if equipped, fold the seat backs forward, and roll the seat assembly back in the vehicle. Remove the nuts attaching the center seat console to the driver and passenger seats, and also remove the nuts attaching the center console to the driver and passenger seats in the rear, discarding them. Disconnect the electrical connector if equipped, roll the seat assembly forward, and remove the center seat console. For installation of the mini floor console, position it and seat the front clips fully, then install the bolts and secure the rear console to the floor panel. Install the inserts, gear shift lever extension, and 4WD gear shift boot. For the full floor console installation, position the center seat console onto the front seat assembly and roll it back into the vehicle. Install new nuts attaching the center console to the driver and passenger seats, connect the electrical connector if equipped, and tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 ft.lbs.). Install new nuts attaching the center console to the driver and passenger seats and tighten them to 25 N.m (18 ft.lbs.). Connect the electrical connectors if equipped, roll the seat assembly forward, and install new rear bolts, tightening them to 40 N.m (30 ft.lbs.). Fold the seat backs up, slide the seats to the rear, and install new front bolts, tightening them to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.).
