Tidy up the spots on the body where you are going to place the name plate by cleaning them well. Rub these areas with a cloth moistened with 50% water and alcohol, then wipe them with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not allow the room temperature to reach higher than 52°C (125°F) to avoid damaging name plates, decals or the vehicle paint finish by heating only the body panels before trim removal. When temperatures outside are below 21°C (70°F), applying heat from a heat lamp or gun to the name plate, decal and car panel will help the paint adhere properly. After that, peel off the protective layer from the back of the name plate or decal and place it onto the body using the installed guide tape. For correct adhesion, press down evenly with a force of approximately 40 p.s.i. on all parts of the name plate or decal before putting it in place.
