Before taking off the fender, separate the negative
Battery Cable from battery terminals. After that, take out the rear lamp unit and the rear
Wheelhouse splash shield. First, unscrew the two lamp units on the rear fender and then remove the two nuts that keep the rear fender securely fastened to the cargo box close to the tail lamp's opening. Prop up the vehicle and then unscrew the two nuts that hold the rear fender to the rear of the box's inner panel. Pull out the four bolts holding the rear fender to the bottom of the cargo box and then remove the four nuts attaching the front of the rear fender to the inside panel of the cargo box. Open the three bolts for the fender support brackets at the back of the cargo box outer panel. Before you take off the rear fenders, place plastic over the cargo box areas so they don't get scratched during the process. Once done, pull the rear fender straight up and off the two support brackets.
