How to service the axle shaft seals on Dodge Ram 3500 Van?

Before you start, raise and support the car and afterward, remove the axle shaft to service the seals. Use a little pry bar to take the axle shaft seal out from the end of the axle tube. Open up the axle bores and take out all old sealer and burrs as you clean them. Mount the axle seal with Installer C-4075 and Handle C-4735-1 so that the tool makes sure the seal is properly inserted into the axle tube. Before you fit the axle shaft back, rub some axle lubricant across the edge of the seal. When the axle shaft is installed, add and check the gear lubrication and then mount the wheel and tire assembly. When all is ready, take out the support and lower the car.
