The first step in servicing the throttle body is to take off the engine cover and the air cleaner. Unlink the wires from the MAP sensor, IAC motor and TPS. After that, pull out the vacuum line at the throttle body and disconnect all cables attached to the throttle body lever arm. Loosen the four bolts holding the throttle body in place and take the throttle body out; this means you should throw away the old gasket between the throttle body and intake manifold. When you are installing, first clean the areas on both the intake manifold and throttle body that are meant to fit together. Once clean, install a new throttle body-to-intake manifold gasket. Attach the throttle body to the intake manifold and hold it with the four mounting bolts, tightening them to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.). After that, reconnect the control cables, vacuum line and electrical connectors and then place the engine cover and air cleaner on the engine.
