  • Q: How to Maintain a Wiper Motor on Dodge Sprinter 2500?
    A:
Start by shutting off and separating the negative Battery Cable. After that, unhook the wire from the wiper motor from the wire harness connector for the motor pigtail wire. Remove the nut holding the motor crank arm to the wiper motor output shaft and place an index mark between the wiper motor shaft and the motor crank arm if you plan to install the motor again. Pop the motor crank arm off the wiper motor output shaft and detach the three securing screws on the bracket before pulling the wiper motor away from the wiper linkage module motor bracket. Before tightening any screws, put the wiper motor on the wiper linkage motor bracket, then tighten the three screws to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.). To put in the motor again, line up the motor crank arm with the marks you made during removal; if it's a new motor, move its crank arm to the driver side, align it with the two wiper drive links and double-check that the blades are near their marks at the window's bottom edge. Install the motor crank arm nut onto the wiper motor output shaft, tighten it to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.), plug the wiper motor vehicle harness connector into the motor pigtail wire connector and reattach the negative battery cable.
