Every time your car needs a new filter and oil, take care to avoid unnecessary skin exposure because engine oil may be harmful and cause irritation or risk because it contains combustion residues. Be sure to wash any skin that came into contact with fluid with soap and water, not with gasoline, diesel fuel, thinner or solvents. You can find out where to dispose of your engine oil by getting information from a dealer or your local government. Drive the vehicle until the engine automatically reaches the correct running temperature, pick a level spot, then turn off the engine. Bring down the oil level cap, lift the car using a hoist and put a proper drain pan under the oil plug. Take off the
Drain Plug from the crankcase, let the oil out, then check the threads of the plug; put the drain plug and gasket in place if any damage is found. First, remove the oil filter, attach and tighten the crankcase drain plug and put a new oil filter into place. After the vehicle is lowered, pour in the proper oil and put the oil cap back in its place. Set the engine running to look for leaks, afterwards shut it off and monitor the oil level.
