Start by drilling out the rivets holding the bellcrank to hood and get rid of the old ones. Break the connections between the bellcrank and latch rod, then hood cable and pull out the bellcrank from the hood. After that, detach the cable from where it connects to the hood and uninstall the left cowl side panel. With the cable routed through the interior of the dash after removing the cowl side screws, slide it up above the instrument panel and free it from the cable bracket. To put in the cable, feed its replacement end into the spot at the dash panel where it meets the engine compartment, then pull the cable forward and fit the grommet into the dash. Attach the bracket for the cable to the left side panel underneath the cowl, insert the screws and reinstall the trim panel. Join the cable and latch rod to the bellcrank, put the bellcrank below the hood and put in the rivets to hold everything together. After that, attach the cable to its clips and check that the hood cable is operating as expected.
