How to Maintain and Fix a Door Handle on the Rear Exterior on Jeep Cherokee?

To work on the rear door exterior handle, first take out the door trim panel and fully wind up the window. Removing the waterdam reveals the fasteners for the outside handle. After that, pull out the latch and the access hole cover. After that, remove the screws holding the door handle to the door and separate the handle-to-latch rod from the handle latch release lever arm. Previous, place the handle over the door panel and link the latch-to-handle rod to the handle latch release lever arm. Screw in the nuts to lock the handle to the door, put on the latch, attach the waterdam and lastly fit the trim panel.
