Replacing the hood hinges can be done without removing the hood, because each hinge can be changed individually. First, put a mark with a grease pencil on the hood's edge where the hood hinge will go. Apply support to the hood and remove the support cylinder from it. First, take out the bolts that connection the hood hinge to the front
Fender and then remove the bolts that connect the hood hinge to the hood. Hold the new hood hinge in place on the hood, matching the reference marks made earlier and bolt down the hinge, tightening the screws to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs). After that, attach the bolts holding the hood hinge in place on the fender rail, making sure the alignment is correct and fasten these bolts to 12 N.m (9 ft.lbs). The final step is to install the support cylinder back in place and adjust the hood if that's needed.
