How to Install a Battery Tray on Jeep Compass?

Sit the battery tray onto the line that runs down the left side of the engine compartment. Attach the battery tray to the frame rail by using one nut and four bolts and tighten them to 10.5 Nm (93 in. lbs.). Secure the tray and then set up the battery properly. Push the diesel vacuum valve bracket down onto the receptacles in the battery tray until the mounting tabs are level with the battery tray. Join the vacuum connector and electric connector with the diesel valve, followed by connecting the negtive battery cable.
