Removing the air cleaner box and air tube should be the first step in servicing the starter motor. After that, loosen and separate the battery's negative cable from its connection. After that, remove the bolt holding the starter motor in place and take off the electrical wiring at the throttle body. When that is complete, unscrew the throttle body bolts and take off the throttle body. Go under the engine, slide the starter into place beneath the intake manifold, move its nose so it's near the cooling module and pull the starter towards you to remove it. In the last step, separate the wiring from the starter motor and take out the starter motor from inside the vehicle.
