Check the entire belt section in the second row center seat carefully, making sure the seat belts, buckles, mounts, retractors, tether straps and anchors are all working properly and do not have visible damage. Seat belts that are cut or frayed should be replaced, twisted ones should be straightened, all loose bolts tightened and all damaged buckles, retractors, latch plates and anchor plates should be avoided by taking or giving passengers another seat. Damaged or curved child restraint anchors should be removed and never repaired; always buy proper parts from the DaimlerChrysler Mopar Parts Catalog. Should the second row center seat belt lower anchor be connected, release the lower anchor latch plate from the keyed lower anchor buckle by depressing the latch release button. After that, take out the upper trim panel from the right D-pillar inside and pull the second row center seat belt latch plate and lower anchor through the seat belt opening in the right upper D-pillar trim. Remove the screw securing the seat belt turning loop to the right D-pillar on top, then the screw holding the retractor to the lower quarter inner panel and lastly remove the second row central seat belt and retractor unit from that panel.
