How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on Jeep Compass?

Before beginning service or repair on the throttle body, first disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable at the battery to prevent the throttle plate from shifting which could endanger you or trigger fault codes. After that, get rid of the hose delivering air to the throttle body and disconnect its corresponding electrical connector. Once that's done, take out the throttle body suppor bracket bolt, plus the four bolts holding the bracket and throttle body to the intake manifold. Look at the intake manifold to throttle body gasket for damage and if you see any issue or excessive wear on the j-nuts, replace them as required.
