If you plan to service or repair the air ducts, begin by isolating the battery negative cable and disconnecting it, then let the system wait two minutes so the air bag does not accidently deploy from electricity still held in the capacitor. Shield the instrument panel by using appropriate materials throughout the process. Take out the instrument panel and after that, break both the front floor ducts (5 and 6) from the rear of the air distribution housing (4) and remove them outside the vehicle. After that, get rid of the floor console and the front passenger seats from inside the vehicle. Simply remove the retainer (1) that ties the front console duct (2) to the gear selector (3), separate the duct from the air housing (4) and unfasten it from the dash. Secure the gear selector aside by removing its screws (5) from the floor panel (6). Starting at the instrument panel, slide the floor carpet back toward the back of the car. Remove the floor ducts from the rear floor distribution duct by disconnecting the two rear floor ducts at the rear floor (1 and 2) and taking out the retainer securing them to the floor support (3). After that, unplug the rear floor distribution duct from the air distribution housing (4) and remove it.
