How to remove the rear Bumper Cover (fascia) on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

To take the rear bumper cover or fascia off, open the liftgate. Remove the four fasteners and two screws at the step pad area next. Above the image. Remove the plastic rivets at the wheel wells next. Then remove the two push pin fasteners and the rear wheel splash shields. Remove the nuts located on the back sides of the quarter panels. Detach the fascia once these have been removed and unplug the connector. Once that is done, detach the four push pin fasteners along with the energy absorber. Finally, disconnect the park assist electrical sensors and remove the park assist sensors.

How to install a rear Bumper Cover on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Start the rear bumper cover installation by placing the park assist sensors if equipped. The next things to do would be to install the energy absorber with the four push pin fasteners. Attach the fascia to the vehicle and plug in the electrical connector while spreading the sides of the fascia a little to avoid any contact with painted surfaces. Fix the slots in the upper sides of the fascia to the 2 t-pushpins on either side. Then flip the fascia up and install 2 screws and 4 push pin fasteners. Go ahead, and install the two lower push pin fasteners. Then install the nuts and tighten to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.). Finally, attach the wheelhouse splash shields using new rivets to the fascia.
