Before putting on the timing belt cover, wipe the cover down and the block it will touch using rubbing alcohol, without cleaning it with oily or rough liquids. In place of the stock anaerobic sealer on the 3.7L, Mopar(R) Engine RTV should be used on all chassis gaskets. Check the water passage o-rings to see if they are damaged and change them if this is the case. Instead, use 3 to 4mm of Mopar(R) Engine RTV sealer on the cover's front side and attach the cover with the proper order of screws until they reach 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.). After that, put in the crankshaft damper, then the A/C compressor, generator, accessory drive belt tensioner, radiator upper and lower hoses, both heater hoses and the radiator fan. Then, top up the cooling system and join the negative battery terminal to the engine.
