The first step in removing exterior name plates is to fix a piece of masking tape to the car, alongside the top line of the nameplate as a guide. know that the nameplates on the exterior are fixed to the body parts with tape. If the temperature falls below 21 degrees C (70 degrees F), heat the emblem with a lamp or gun, making sure you don't heat it higher than 52 degrees C (120 degrees F). Use C-4755 or a similar trim stick to break apart the adhesive on the rear of the housing. Eliminate any adhesive garbage from the body by using Mopar(R) Super Clean solvent or a like product. For application, remove the piece of plastic from the back of the adhesive soft tape, then put the emblem in the proper location on your vehicle. Placing the emblem directly against the body, press it down with your hand. If the temperature is under 70 degrees F (21 degrees C), give the emblem another warm moment with a heat source, but watch out that the heated emblem doesn't grow anything above 120 degrees F (52 degrees C).
