How to Remove and Replace a Seat Cushion on Jeep Liberty?

Before you can change out the seat cushion, first install the seat bottom onto the seat back frame. Tighten the bolts on the seat frame you'll find on the left and right sides to 47.5 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Only attach the recliner cable if it's available to the passenger seat in the rear. Connect the electrical harness to the seat bottom and next, install the right and left seat tracks into the seat frame, snugging them with 27.5 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) of torque. Be careful to position the Heated Seat Module mounting tab correctly during installation so the module is not damaged. Attach the heated seat module in the vehicle, making certain the retaining tab fits into the matching hole in the seat pan, pushing firmly until it is seated properly. Attach the wire harness connector to the heated seat module and then place the seat position sensor in position. Screw one side screw into the left edge and one rear screw into the top of the trim, then secure the trim with two screws on the right. Join the recliner handle and attach the electrical cables for heating the back and seat of your vehicle. Create the electrical connection between the OCS mounting plate and the passenger seat electrical harness connectors and add and connect the occupant classification module if it is part of the system. If you have weight sensors, set them up in the passenger seat. In the final step, place the passenger or driver's front seat.
