Make sure the condition and installation of the two U-nuts (3) on the outboard side of the right front fender beam are correct before adding the alarm siren module. Put the alarm siren module in the load path beam, then put the screws inside the bracket into the U-nuts and tighten them to 5 Nm (40 in. lbs.). Link the engine compartment wire harness back to the siren s connector and fasten the splash shield into the right front wheel house. After that, connect the first black cable back to your battery. Should the Intrusion Transceiver Mode module be replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scanning tool has to be used to set up the new unit. Use the menu item for Miscellaneous Functions then Intialize Siren in the Vtss, then follow the instructions there to initialize the siren.
