Just like the gasket in the engine, the factory applies a sealing patch to one of the oil pan bolts. Take off the pan bolts and hit one corner of the pan so fluid can drain out before you remove the oil pan. Add a new filter and o-ring onto the bottom of the valve body and tighten the screws to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.). Replenish the sealing patch on the top of the oil pan bolt with Mopar® Lock AND Seal Adhesive before reinserting the bolt into the designed spot. Because the OE gasket you'll receive can be installed directly, first clean the oil pan and magnet and then install the oil pan using the new Silicone Adhesive sealant. Put four quarts of Mopar® ATF+4 into the car through the dipstick opening, begin the engine and idle it for about one minute. With both brakes on, move the selector lever quickly through all its settings, finishing in park or neutral. Make sure the transmission fluid is between 3mm (1/8 in.) and the lowest mark on the dipstick, before you add any extra fluid. Check the fluid after the transmission has operating temperature of at least 82°C (180°F). Do not leave any parts of the dipstick outside the dipstick hole, because dirt can enter the transmission from there.
