- Q: How to Install a Rear Door Handle for Exterior on Jeep Wrangler?A:Initially, set up the rear door handle from outside and then ensure it's fastened with nuts 4 and 2. Screw the nuts just enough to reach 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.) torque and then install the first trim panel.
- Q: How to Service and Repair a Front Exterior Door Handle on Jeep Wrangler?A:Begin the service or repair of your front door exterior handle by taking off the door trim panel and pushing up on the window. Lift off the grab handle support bracket and strip back the door waterdam near the door rail to reach the door latch. Take the inside lock knob off the latch rod and remove the outside release handle from the latch rod. Tip the tail of the retainer clear of the handle keeper, then carefully tap each handle keeper upward with a straight blade to remove them. Lift out the latch release rod from the door handle and part the handle and gasket from the doorl. For assembly, turn the latch release rod to the door handle, put gasket and handle into the door and slide in the keepers from the top. Reduce the window and tap down on the handle keepers so they are secured; remember to point the tail of the retainer toward the 2nd or 3rd step on the handle keeper under the assembly. Bring up the window and attach the inside lock knob to the latch rod and the outside release handle to the latch rod. Fix the waterdam, put on the grab handle support bracket and finish by installing the door trim.
