To access the instrument panel, first take the electrical connector off at the A-pillar cowl and cut the check strap from the footmans loop. Slide your doors past 90 to help take out the I/P assembly and also remove the negative
Battery Cable. Take out the center console and split apart all the electrical connectors on the center I/P wire harness. Pull out the push pin hangers and put the harness down for now. Replace the tabs on the cover and lower the clip while holding the handle. Then, move the trim stick C-4755 or its equivalent to the left, away from you, to separate the cover from the lower tabs. After removing the bolts and the plate, pull the amplifier out. If it helps, take the
Steering Column out of your vehicle. Trim the end caps off using the trim stick and on cars with automatic transmissions, also take out the shifter. Take the transfer case shifter out, then release the clips and turn the lowest trim down to pop out the tabs. Unclasp the awning from the back of your top, push the motor back and pull it loose from the front. Remove the electrical connector and lift off the center cover on the top of the car. Take out the screws with the trim stick and extract the center bezel. Unplug the HVAC control wires and the electrical connectors and afterwards, remove the radio. First, trip the screws from the I/P tray panels, then come out the bolts and nuts of the main support bridge. If your car has a clutch pedal rod, take it off by removing the clip and separating the rod. You should also do this for the brake pedal rod. Take out the nuts, divided the grounds from the rest, unplug the driver and passenger side electrical wires and take out the antenna connector. Get rid of the
Glove Box, stop the flow of power from the positive battery cable and disconnect the right side ground. Put the
Power Steering Reservoir to one side and take away the
Battery Tray. Remove the refrigerant and coolant and remove the
EGR Tube from there. Take out the upper
Intake Manifold, then remove the hose clamps holding the heater hoses to the heater core tubes and release these hoses. You can use either plugs or tape over the opened heater core tubes so the coolant remains inside. Disconnect the line nut from the A/C liquid line, then the A/C suction line to the
A/C Expansion Valve and remove the O-ring seals. Put plugs or tape on the exposed fittings for the refrigerant line and the expansion valve. Set the harness on the
Brake Booster, remove the brake booster's supportive bracket bolts, pop open the grommet on the wire harness and take away any extra support clips. After you remove the caps and nuts from the trim and fencing, then remove the bolts for the side support and put the I/P assembly back in place. Pull the main wire harness from the cowl and take the I/P out from the vehicle.
