In order to install a new Ambient Temperature Sensor, one has to park on flat surface, turn off the ignition, unattach the battery and access the sensor behind the grille or the mirror. Take out screws or clips, take out the wiring, find a replacement, clip or screw or bolt it into place, cleaning contacts and running leads out of hot or moving components. To finish the change of the Ambient Temperature Sensor, snap trim back, reconnect the battery, start the engine, allow the dash temperature to stabilize following a short drive and clear any stored codes.
