The Ram Clutch Disc is the device sandwiched between the flywheel and the pressure plate. This plate receives the engine torque and transfers it through to the gearbox. Every gear shift is smooth with a Ram Clutch Disc. To start, the trucks with the Ram badge are riding on optional air suspension that can lift a full eight inches or crouch for highway efficiency, giving you control whether crawling over rocks or merging into traffic. The eTorque mild hybrid provides early low-speed torque to help with the movement of heavy loads. The RamBox side lockers are large enough to swallow muddy straps and expensive tools, but it locks tight with the key fob. The interior of the truck has a wide and flat screen that brings together the apps, including the towing pages and backup camera. With extra sound deadening, a conversation is easy even when the V8 is toiling away. The Clutch Disc in these pickups is designed to respond to torque pulses in a more predictable manner, resulting in a longer lifespan due to the more balanced design. Commence by positioning your Ram on even terrain, chocking the wheels and loosening the battery cable. Remove the driveshaft, drop the transfer case if fitted, then slide the transmission back on a jack to see the shiny Clutch Disc. Mark the flywheel, undo the pressure plate in a star pattern, and lower the disc. Use brake cleaner to clean the mating faces. Slide the new Clutch Disc onto the alignment tool and tighten the pressure plate bolts evenly. Apply grease onto the release bearing. Move the gearbox forward. Torque the bellhousing bolts. Connect the hydraulics. Test the Ram pedal for a nice crisp engagement.
