Disconnect the battery first, turn the key to ACC, remove the column shrouds then press the retaining pin to slide the old unit out. Relocate any transponder components to the new Ram compatible cylinder, align the new Ignition Lock Assembly with the switch housing, insert it until it clips and screw the screw. Connect the electrical connectors, then switch the key between Lock, ACC, On and Start in order to check that everything is working smoothly, reconnect the trim, reconnect the battery, and then test the steering wheel locks and the engine cranks with the ignition switch to make sure everything is working normally after which they are supposed to program the chips when asked to.
