2000 Dodge Dakota Door Latch Assembly Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Perform a Door Latch Assembly for Rear Door Latch Service and Repair on 2000 Dodge Dakota?
A: Begin the servicing of the rear door latch by taking off the trim panel and peeling back the waterdam. After that, remove the screws attaching the latch to the rear door and also dislodge the latch harness connector and the latch rods. Install the connector from the latch and then screw the latch into position on the rear door. Rebolster the latch rods, mount the waterdam again and then attach the trim panel.
