- Q: How is the Battery Sensor Positioned, Removed, and Installed on 2000 Dodge Durango?A: This battery temperature sensor sits under the vehicle battery, fastened into a mounting hole on the battery tray. First take out the battery, then release the sensor's harness from the engine harness near the electrical connector. Lift the sensor straight up out of the hole where it is attached to the battery tray. For installation, tuck the harness through the hole in the top of the battery tray and hold the sensor straight down into the battery tray. After that, link the pigtail harness and put the battery into place.
