How to Service and Repair a Transmission Speed Sensor for Input on 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan?

For Transmission Speed Sensor service or repair, your first task should be to disconnect the battery negative cable. If you have to, uncouple and plug the lines coming from the transmission oil cooler. After that, take out the input speed sensor by releasing the connector and unscrewing it. If the speed sensor O-ring appears damaged, exchange it for a new one. Put the O-ring into position, then tighten the input speed sensor by applying 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) of torque. Also, reconnect the speed sensor plug and reinstall the battery positive cable.
