  A: Release the parking brakes, raise the vehicle on a jack stand or similar and then you are ready to work on the cable. Back up the adjuster nut on the cable, then pull the rear cables out from the cable connectors. Hold each tab on the right rear cable fitting with a 1/2 inch boxed end wrench and pull when equalized to take the cable through the bracket. On the left rear cable found at the frame bracket, press in the tabs and pull both cables through. Take out the right rear brake cable from the hose bracket and free the retainers from the axle.
