    A: In order to service and replace the brake light switch 1), the first thing will be to open up the knee bolster to access the brake lamp switch and brake pedal. Remove the switch harness, and press and hold the brake pedal against the applied position. Turn the switch forward anti-clockwise about 30degrees so that the lock tabs of the switch are aligned with notch in the bracket then pull the switch out of the mounting bracket followed by releasing the brake pedal. To install: connect the harness wires to the new switch, press the brake pedal down and hold. Fasten the switch in the position by placing the tabs on the switch into the match with notches on the switch bracket, slide the switch into the switch bracket and twist it a little bit (30 o ) to lock the switch. Pull out the brake pedal and push the release lever on the switch to insert the switch plunger finishing the adjustment that can not be changed again. And then lastly, replace the bolster to the knee.
