How to Service and Repair a Door Jamb Switch on 2000 Dodge Ram 3500?

To service the door switch, first disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Grasp the door jamb switch with pliers, gently move it back and forth while pulling it from the hinge pillar mounting hole. When exposed, unplug the wire harness connector. Reverse removal to install the new switch.
