How to service the cruise control switch on 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 Van?

Severing the negative battery cable to turn off the air bag system allows disconnection of the cruise control switch, and waits two minutes to service the switch. Take away the air bag module, switch screws and switch. Unplug electrical connector, and re-install, make sure the torque is correct, and reconnect the battery.
