  A: Before changing the heater core, take out the heater-A/C hood from under the engine cover. After that, unscrew and lift away the top cover of the heater-A/C housing. After that, take out the screw that holds the heater core tube support bracket to the top of the heater-A/C housing and take out the heater core. When setting up the heater, you'll put the new heater core into the housing bottom and add the screw to proper end of the support bracket so that it sits on the support boss, then tighten the screw to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). After that, fix the top cover on the heater-A/C housing and move the heater-A/C housing back to the engine compartment.
